What is this search engine About?

Lyrics Search was written out of pure boredom. I am a third
year Mechatronics Engineering/Computer Sci student. One day I 
decided to write a search engine. I wanted to test out a
search algorithm which I thought up, so voila! At the moment,
the database is growing, so searches are getting slower and 
slower! Dont worry though, cause as I go along in my course
I am learning more and more algorithms and already have ideas 
as to how I can improve the speed on searches. I will be updating
this engine constantly. Hopefully I can keep the searches down
to 2 seconds. At the moment they are averaging at around 1-1.5
seconds for a decent set of words. When I do update it soon,
I hope to get it under a second.

Why Dont I just use an exisitng SQL? Such as mSQL?

Well, I wanna be original. Also, I wanna put some stuff that
I learn at uni to good use :) Its pretty fun and challenging
maintaining this engine plus I love writing my own code!

Is your source code available?

You'd be surprised how many of these emails I get. Its simple,
NOTHING in this world is free. Its available I guess for a price.
But I am definitely not in this for the money, more for the fun
of it.... I'd say definitely more for the fun of it ;)

How often do you update your search engine?

New lyrics are added nearly everyday. So keep your eyes peeled.
As for the source code and search algorithm, I am constantly working
on it, I am currently up to the 3rd generation code and have tried out
about 6-7 different algorithms in the background (not counting the ones
that didnt work!

But I see advertising on your site, arent you making money?

No! It costs me thousands of dollars to buy a decent machine
and it costs me hundreds every month to keep it on the web.
All proceeds from this site goes toward improving it. Lyrics
Search Engine @ Astraweb is a not-for-profit site, it is a 
hobby of mine. So clicking on the banners doesnt make me rich
